Support Received For Mosaic of North Central Wisconsin

Mosaic members shake hands with and thank partners for funding.

The Mosaic Steering Committee approached local foundations for start-up funding of the project.  The group is pleased to announce that local foundations stepped forward to stand behind the need for the project and endorse the vision.

Funding will allow the committee to hire part-time staff early in 2022 to support its membership and grow programming and events.  The focus will be to advance its vision: that all individuals in North Central Wisconsin, regardless of differences, feel they belong and are supported, welcomed, and included as members of our communities. YWCA Wausau is the operating organization for Mosaic.

Initial start-up grants have been provided by the following foundations:  BA & Esther Greenheck Foundation;  Dudley Foundation: Community Foundation of NCWI; Clyde Schuelter Foundation.

In addition, our business partners:  Aspirus Health; Church Mutual Insurance and Greenheck Group have each provided start-up funds and each of our founding partner organizations are providing in-kind resources and support.  These partners include: Aspirus Health;  Church Mutual Insurance; Community Foundation of NCWI; Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce;  Greenheck Group; Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum; Northcentral Technical College; United Way of Marathon County; Wausau – University of Wisconsin Stevens Point; WIPPS -Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service; YWCA Wausau.
